Neil Van Der Linden graduated in medicine and law and has a keen interest in curating music, theatre and visual arts projects related to the Middle-East and North-Africa. He has curated these projects in Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, the Gulf states, Pakistan, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.

He was dramaturg at the Rotterdam Municipal Theatre Company and the Holland Festival, and has worked as music advisor and events developer with Paradiso Amsterdam, The Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, The Beiteddine Festival Lebanon, The Festival of Sacred Music in Fes Morocco, The Abu Dhabi Sounds of Arabia Festival, The Hong Kong Municipality Festival, The Mugam festival Baku, The Brownbook Dubai, The Abu Dhabi Book Fair, these are some of the many works he has successfully executed.

He founded and co-edits the online Gulf Art Guide and the Gulf Art Guide Facebook page.

On the topic of music as cultural heritage he has given presentations at the Qatar Museums, the ALECSO in Muscat, the African Music Council in Segou Mali, the New York University Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Book Fair, the Fez Gathering, the Mugam Festival Baku and the Bahrain cultural authority.
