A secondary objective was also to have a unique theme that would capture the essence of the oft-parodied Mumbai Traffic Jam. This would need to be brought out in terms of visual & experiential touch points. This November 2016, the Red Bull Soapbox RACE returned, and it promised to be bigger and better. That is because the Red Bull Soapbox race 2016, was the steepest race ever attempted in the history of Red Bull Soapbox race. In an outrageous downhill race, racers were welcomed to build their own soapbox and compete against the forces of gravity. The vehicles would only need to have steering and braking capabilities. Teams were judged on both the time taken to complete the course, as well as creativity of their design and the showmanship of a performance at the start of the race, hence the team with the fastest time was not necessarily the winner.
